Today in 1945, Flight 19 took off from Fort Lauderdale FL and vanished in what we call the "Bermuda Triangle." No one has ever been able to explain the disappearance, blamed on everything from weather to equipment malfunctions to UFOs. The rescue aircraft sent to search for them also disappeared without a trace.
