It is the left's fault. The division in race, in political parties, the rise in r**ts, the open hatred and general animosity. Even the rise in violent crime, INCLUDING mass shootings.
Why?
Because in the last twenty years or so, the left in general, and the 'woke' part of the left specifically, have made intolerance and violence socially acceptable. And the Democrat party, specifically the leadership, has embraced doing so, encouraged it, and even called it heroic.
The stage was set in the 60's with the left wingers pushed God out of education. When the left said there is no God and no need to believe in God, because it is all fairy tales. When a troubled or unhappy individual sees no greater good, and no reward or punishment in an afterlife, and trusted people says it is stupid and ignorant to believe in an afterlife, that opens many options that a believer would never consider. When life appears worse than the peace of death, why not? Suicide becomes an acceptable alternative, as does murder. After all, once a person accepts that they want to die, it is only a tiny bit farther to decide to take others along.
But that is a different discussion. It relates here only because rejecting God was the start.

Up until Reagan was elected, the Democrats stayed within reason with their accusations of what the Republicans political goals were. But so many Democrats v**ed for Reagan, the leaders realized they were losing....they felt they had to change tactics. So beginning after Reagan left office, their political rhetoric became more and more extreme and filled with lies and exaggerations. Everything they said and did was geared to appeal to the low information and politically ignorant citizens that v**es based on optics and sound bites. In 2000, with the help of an unqualified BUT charming and charismatic Barrack Obama, the new tactics started paying off.

As a result, for the last 22 years the left/woke/Democrats have encouraged and pushed intolerance for anything that did not agree with their narratives. Voicing opposition was not enough. Logic and reasoning was not enough. ANGER and OUTRAGE at ANY dissent was the order of the day. Don't like Trumps policies? Then harass and attack his officials and supporters! Attack kids with red hats. Interrupt meals. Say any lies you want. The end justifies the means. Don't like conservatives? Then violently protest them when they come on campus. It is not enough to decline to attend their speeches, we must STOP them from saying ANYthing to ANYbody! Don't like r****m? Then let's redefine it so that ONLY Caucasians are r****ts, and it is not enough to be color blind....if POC are not given special privileges, and any white folks are not violently anti-r****t, then they too are r****ts! If ANYthing is said, seen, or remembered that you don't like, then it is absolutely OFFENSIVE and WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Some 60 year old wore black face in a costume 45 years ago? Cancel the r****t! Some teen girl wears an oriental dress to prom? Cancel the tramp for cultural appropriation.
The examples are endless. And the media, for the most part, went along with it enthusiastically. Here was a chance to 'guide' the public into politically correct thinking.
This is the age, the century (so far), in which violent intolerance and extremism is encouraged and dignified and celebrated by some of the most powerful and influential politicians and celebrities and media in America.
Why is crime increasing? Much of it is because of soft on criminal Democrat policies, but it is also because the left has been telling the poor that they DESERVE to take what they want. Doing so is righteous and justice.
Why are r**ts, including race r**ts increasing? Because the left has been saying that ANY time a black person is hurt, then it is racially motivated, and outrage and violence are acceptable.
Why are mass murders increasing? Because the left has made it clear that actions as a result of outrage and anger is acceptable social behavior, even if it is an individual.
Why are our university campuses in disarray? Because the left has convinced them that screaming temper tantrums and violent protests are fine if you don't like what they are saying, or even if you just don't like them personally.

This post has no links because these are my thoughts and convictions based on 50 years of paying attention. American politics is similar to California forests. The unacceptable 'dead wood' has now been made acceptable by 22 years of l*****t and Democrat words and policies, and is just laying there waiting for the spark-of-the-day to start a wildfire. The only way to correct it is to start clearing away the dead wood. That will take time and effort. We need to clear the forest of our culture of all the 'dead wood' attitude that is waiting for the strike of a match.
And, by the way, disagreeing with someone is NOT hatred. But intolerance of free speech IS.
The way to begin is to STOP condemning any one or any thing that we disagree with. Listen. Agree or disagree. But do it with out hatred or violence. Those things must be made socially and culturally unacceptable once again.

I can't imagine anyone on either side of any ideology not agreeing with your post...There was a time in America that everyone acted with respect and civility and nothing less would be tolerated. The left, which in my opinion, is not the same as the traditional liberal I went to college with. The left has always had more of a Marxist and C*******t ideology. Very easy to fool much of the mass's when espousing all the benefits of using others money. That is, until the money runs out. It always ends with a strongman and a lower quality of life for the people. The l*****ts at the top, gain more power and wealth. The left cares nothing about life, unless it's theirs. The unborn are to be thrown away and the procedure celebrated. Parents are put to the side in favor of big government indoctrination. Now, the left is pushing t*********r surgery ( child m********n). Why? The destruction of the family unit which has always been the backbone our country. Look at the self destructive black race in America. Almost all, due to democrat or l*****t policies. In a nut shell the left is evil. They aren't just atheist's, they h**e God, or the thought there of. I have always thought the left in America is much like Radical Islam. Take out the whole Allah

Why is crime increasing? Much of it is because of soft on criminal Democrat policies, but it is also because the left has been telling the poor that they DESERVE to take what they want. Doing so is righteous and justice.
Why are r**ts, including race r**ts increasing? Because the left has been saying that ANY time a black person is hurt, then it is racially motivated, and outrage and violence are acceptable.
Why are mass murders increasing? Because the left has made it clear that actions as a result of outrage and anger is acceptable social behavior, even if it is an individual.
Why are our university campuses in disarray? Because the left has convinced them that screaming temper tantrums and violent protests are fine if you don't like what they are saying, or even if you just don't like them personally.

This post has no links because these are my thoughts and convictions based on 50 years of paying attention. American politics is similar to California forests. The unacceptable 'dead wood' has now been made acceptable by 22 years of l*****t and Democrat words and policies, and is just laying there waiting for the spark-of-the-day to start a wildfire. The only way to correct it is to start clearing away the dead wood. That will take time and effort. We need to clear the forest of our culture of all the 'dead wood' attitude that is waiting for the strike of a match.
And, by the way, disagreeing with someone is NOT hatred. But intolerance of free speech IS.
The way to begin is to STOP condemning any one or any thing that we disagree with. Listen. Agree or disagree. But do it with out hatred or violence. Those things must be made socially and culturally unacceptable once again.

This is projection for the most part. Donald trump is not a leader , and not even worth talking about. We need true leaders, the kind that don’t move to run for office , or get their money from PACs, or hide behind Jesus grace to excuse their real lack of character. These are the republican hero’s of today.
We are losing power because we have lost our way. When will we have a platform again. Mindless rallies don’t address the drug and corruption issues.

I agree with you, both to term limits bearing discussion, and to the result of such limits. Unfortunately, we are already there. The vast majority of our Congresspeople, from both parties, spend their time seeking endorsements, wealth, and planning or prepping for the next e******n. The few honest ones, when asked what their job is, will reply "to get reelected". The swamp (rampant bureaucracy) is already in control of the government and makes 95% of all decisions. They write the laws. If we are lucky, our representatives may read them before v****g (if they are short).
Farnworth, I hear you. You did not say much that I disagree with.
Solutions must be long term, and will begin with people turning their backs on intolerance. Initiating violence should ALWAYS result in jail time. Education must go back to educating and not just prep for state mandated tests and indoctrination. Chronological history of the world and America must come back into schools beginning with middle school. Geography should be emphasized in elementary school as preparatory for history. Such a knowledge base is necessary to give context and understanding to effective adult decision making.
In other words, conservatives MUST gain control of one of the parties, or form their own, and win the v**es of the majority of Americans. HOW to do that is above my pay scale. But personally, I think praying is the first step.

How did Trump get inserted into this conversation? What Democrat gets elected without a PAC? The Democrats don't bring up Jesus because they don't believe. I agree many Republicans have lost their way, if they ever had one. I don't have any hero's that are politicians. I'm not that dumb. Tucker is actually a straight shooter. I believe he's much more honest than many.
I'm all for term limits. Unfortunately; the politicians v**e on that legislation. I have no problem with presidents serving two terms. I'd like to see one six year term for both House and Senate. I'd like to see staffs cut by one-half to 2/3. That would actually make the a-holes work together instead of staff writing all the bills. I want a President who says, I will sign stand alone Bills only and I will only sign after the public has had sufficient time to review the Bill. No earmarks. No lobbyists allowed in the halls or grounds of congress. Any meetings with a lobbyist must be reported and the penalty for not, immediate dismissal. I want a balanced budget Amendment. We are losing IMO because we have lost faith in the government. I can't stand Republicans like McConnell, Grahm, Murkowski, Collins, Kennedy, and a host of other RINO'S. We have a bunch of wussies in our party. So scared of being called, a woke this, or a phobe of some sort.

They asked me why and they got an earful. Now, three of my neighbors have done the same thing. I would love a third party, but it really has no chance. I'd join also. Money rules e******ns. I believe that Party would never get the support of progressives, RINO'S and most Democrats. Be very hard to get elected from a third party.

You can't get anyone to agree on anything in this country anymore from either side. The republicans have sat back and watched as the Dems have trashed this country and bemoaned not having a majority. But they could have stood up and made their voices heard!!! At least to keep reminding the country they stood by them in their misery.
