Remember Joseph Kennedy got a job right out of Harvard as the president of The Brookline Savings Bank.
He mde his real money by going to Europe and buying the rights to sell whiskey in America, before prohibition ended.. So if you buy the Johney Walker brand, this is still making money for the Kennedys. I don't doubt that Joe Kennedy was a rum runner, but he dropped his illegal activities soon after prohibition.
