More bulls**t excuses. Most of the supposedly disenfranchised v**ers in the US receive some sort of help from the government which requires an ID suitable for v****g.

IMO, this sounds like the UK is adopting the reverse of the Blue State tactics here in the US. If the UK is indeed using restrictive v****g id tactics to keep the young from v****g, it is the polar opposite from what is happening here in the US. Blue state tactics of mailing b****ts to everyone (without id), drop boxes, dead v**er rolls, b****ts being mailed to unoccuped or vacant properties, b****t harvesting, etc. are what the radical left uses here. Both are wrong.

You are DELIBERATELY missing the point, ACP! You know that it is only r****t if Republicans are asking for IDs.
Just like it is only r****m if White people discriminate.
Just like v***r f***d is only illegal if conservatives do it.
And words only trigger intolerance and hatred and violence if Trump says them.

No, the poster you were replying to is just being obtuse. (Well, obtuse, rude, and a few other things. He's able to pack a lot of negative stuff into a short space.) The v**er restrictions (of which some of the variety of "v**er ID" laws are examples) do not affect everyone equally. The article describes this pretty well. But if a v**er ID law were simple and consistent (e.g., not being changed furtively in the last days before an e******n) then it might be alright, though still probably unnecessary.
