Where most people go wrong with polls is how the question is asked. Any sweeping gun control law is not the answer. What we need is the sharing of information about people who are mentally unstable to be allowed to purchase a gun as well as past offenders and anyone who has a past of violence. We lack this now. This or any solution will not completely end gun violence but it would at least keep guns away from more people that do not need to have guns. Most proposed gun laws seem to want to limit the types of guns or the capacity of magazines and do little or nothing about the people who acquire these guns when they should not. We should concentrate more on the people than on the guns.

The sticking point seems to be sharing medical information that would limit anyone's access to guns. Doctors do not want to cooperate here because they fear massive lawsuits if they do. I applaud your emphasis on people!

There has to be a point when protecting the greater whole, the innocent, supercedes the individual. And it wouldn't have to be sharing the dx, it could just be sharing info that person is not eligible for gun ownership. We do that with drivers licenses to some degree, rather a person loss the driving privilege due to excessive speeding, DUI, recklessness.

Still a touchy point. Lawyers would investigate, and if there was even a verbal opinion expfressed, a lawsuit would be forthcoming.

I hear ya but epileptic and people who have sezures are banned from driving, don't know why we can't have a national registry that doesn't list specifics but can be access by gun stores

They can't ask you if you take certain legal medications for gun purchases. That would be against HIPAA privacy. I'm sure if they could, they would ask for a pee test to see if a person is lying about the illegal drugs.

The problem is damned serious, but if it could have been done that way, don't you think it would have by now? Well, they want to blame the guns, you know, those automatics that roam the streets burrrrroping and k*****g? Those small, black weapons that just can't resist putting holes in people? Hard to catch, too, on a dark night. They slither away in the alleys.

What about the creepy families that won't accept responsibility for the actions of their mentally deranged children? Take for example the 22-year-old Highland Park, IL mass shooter, Robert Crimo III. He had a record of domestic violence, and it was ignored by the police and brushed aside by his dysfunctional family. His father helped him buy one of the guns that k**led the people on the 4th of July parade after he had a history of threatening his family with knives. We haven't heard any charges against the i***t father, have we? The mother was supposedly neglectful as well pertaining to Robert's well-being.

No club Q....shame, now you need a new hobby for Saturday nights.

Giggles

Club Q and all such bars should be shut down. There are too many social and communicable diseases being spread around and Monkey Pox is one of the primary sexually t***smitted diseases. If the gay crowd wants to talk about how they are being murdered, look no further than the toxic W***n clot shots that about 100% of them have taken with it causing thousands of their fellow gays deaths. Look no further than Slo joe's/ovommit's W***n toxic jab as the primary cause of gay peoples deaths. Maybe these 2 yokels need rounded up and charged with murder.

Oh no Winky, you want them to hold the criminals responsible for their acts instead of an inanimate object or a victim. What is the world coming to, the dems will s**t themselves if you expect them to penalize "liberal criminals"!!

What exactly are stricter gun laws? Across the United States there has to be at least 10,000 gun laws! That averages out to 200 laws per state! What does more stricter gun laws mean? Can't buy a gun till your 25,30,35,or maybe 40! Of course we all know what they really mean. They mean lets get rid of guns! Australia did it and all crime rose because the bad guys know that nobody has guns! They got rid of guns in England and last year there were 1,281 gun crime offences last year in London alone! Everyone wants stricter gun laws but laws don't stop bad people or sick people from committing crimes! And yes, if you take away every ones guns only the bad guys will have guns, and that's a fact not fiction! So I read the poll and what does it prove? Nothing except people want more gun laws! So add more gun laws and I'll bet that it doesn't stop one murder, robbery, or mugging or any other crime where some one uses a gun! And what is so wrong being a bible thumper anyway? Bet they don't commit murders!

As Jessie Jackson once said, "I would rather come across a group of men at night coming out of a prayer and Bible studying meeting than come across 5 gang members leaving one of their gang meetings". I'm sure even a heathen like Rinaldi would prefer the same as Jackson.

Why not? Our country discriminated against those who did not want to take the W***n toxic clot shot and were not allowed entry into bars, restaurants, sporting events and concerts. Did this violate HIPAA laws? It surely did. Asking people for their private medical info is illegal, but our city, state and federal elites broke those laws at their whim. C***d Passports were illegal and broke all HIPAA laws.

What part of "Criminals don't give a f!?$# about gun laws" don't you all out there get? Laws don't mean a thing to them. He'll most of those laws don't mean much to me as I see them for what they are. To make the playing field in the govt. Favor. All the firearms that are supposedly illegal are already being used by criminals. The only ones you ever see with the law abiding are hid away and the only time you would see them is if your pal showed it to you because the law abiding don't flash them around unless they are morons which many are. With all those laws on the books crime has not slowed a bit. Take this crazy elsewhere. I could take a poll right now in person and come up with a whole different set of numbers.
