This evening I went to an absolutely thrilling event and watched my 10-year-old grandson/his 5th grade class/the other 2 grade school's in our small town's 5th grade classes perform their annual Patriot Concert.
The performance started with all the students...dressed in red-white-blue singing The Star Spangled Banner...the entire audience rose/placed their hands over their hearts.
Next; The Battle Hymn of each branch of the Service...Army/Navy/Marines/Air Force/Coast Guard was played/sung by the students as each branches' F**g was unfurled. The corresponding members of these branches in the audience were then asked to stand /where they were applauded.
After that there was a slide show where the students brought pictures/introduced their family members who were/had served,
The show ended with Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA.

Should have invited the skanks from the View. Theyβd have had heart attacks. Sound like a beautiful performance.

Heck, it was such a great performance, and (we're so dang hospitable around here,) if they couldn't take the strain of that much love/respect for our veterans/servicemen/women, we would've even called the paramedics for them...and sent them off to the hospital with a hearty "bless your heart".

You should be proud. Wish I could have seen it. Funny how rural conservative schools hold patriotic skits and progressive democrats want d**g q***n story hour.

A lot of it comes down to Christianity. Our principles all go to the same churches that their students/parents attend. They are careful not to break the secular rules so in case some l*****t twit isn't happy, (yes we have some,) doesn't ruin things for everyone. But around here the demonic left is still outnumbered.
As for d**g q***n story hour...unless the parents thought it was some kind of dress-up for a school skit...one time several years ago some dads were good natured enough to put on some wigs and "sing" with their children on stage, the d**g q***ns would find out just what a d**g it is to try to g***m these children at school
On another note the Middle School here has a field trip every year, and sends a group of students to Washington DC to tour our capital. The trip is 100% paid for, (except for personal spending money)...the students have to do 12 hours of community service to qualify.
