All doctors, not just the ones who got d**gged into court for a meritless lawsuit. Malpractice Insurance pays for the doctor's defense lawyer. That's why lawyers encourage these lawsuits that the average person ends up paying for. That is the problem. Doctors are not so much greedy, or in cahoots with insurance companies, they have been forced to charge these prices by the lawyers' lobby.
