Blame The Quality Over Quantity Model The Oil Industry And Others Chooses To Embrace
The oil industry, aside from the fact that they are producing as much oil and gas as they want to, has leaned into a profit over production model. You can focus on more volume at a lower cost, or less production (lower expenses) at higher prices that makes more profit...and find yourself actually making more money than you would if you are producing more at lower prices because of a competitive availability.
I keep saying that the most disturbing thing about this is the fact that people seem to be too stupid to understand simple bottom line economics...while we are experiencing crippling prices, the oil industry is making record profits.
Yet people can't seem to make that connection, that if their profits are higher than they ever have been despite the fact that they are selling less because high prices decreases sales volumes...
The industry is charging more money than they need to, they are being allowed to cripple the country while republicans refuse to do anything the government could do if it chose to.

You do know the government collects more in taxes than the oil industry makes per gallon. The GOP does not control the government, Democrats do.

Again another simplistic response. Blane the Oil Industry even after every stupid stunt your bull s**t leader boden has pulled in less then two years to ruin the industry, and use high gas prices to try and force allegiance to a false premise that we need a green new deal, and America is the worst polluters in the world. Yep, you failed again.
The most obvious thing that has happened since the crackhead daddy has stolen office is he has kicked the energy industry in the teeth in every way......WTF.....DUH!!!!
