60% Of Republicans Want The US Officially Declared A Christian Nation

the constitution specifically says congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion, or the exercising thereof...

That part of the constitution regarding religion and laws is a big deal, no laws regarding the exercising of religion... the right is making a big deal about their rights to exercise their religion, and the government has no business in regards to passing laws about exercising religious beliefs.

Blah, blah, blah. It won’t happen. You put too much stock in polls

And saying its against everything the country stands for is not correct. Its overly dramatic

You are right, it won't happen...

You don't find people's opinions they express interesting? More importantly you don't believe that religiously oriented republicans want christianity declared the official religion, or the country to be declared a christian nation?

Hay Mister I don't know the Constitution. Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion means that Congress can't make laws establishing a state religion.

But then again it sure looks like you and the dems are trying to make the federal government the godless state religion with everything you're trying to do to make us worship it.

There's a BIG difference between declaring Christianity the state religion and declaring the U.S. a Christian nation stupid!
