Just to add some context to the liklihood of a Trump defeat, as disheartening as that may be for many including myself, the same cabal - DCCC Deep State, MSM, Big Tech & Hollywood -- the four horsemen who took him down, are still entrenched, emboldened even, by their success. Add to that the debauchery of early v****g and mail-in b****ts -- all remaining in place without meaningful reform, spell an insurmountable disadvantage for one candidate and one candidate only -- DJT. After all, it was constructed specifically to derail him. Other candidates are less susceptible to the chicanery because of their appeal to independents. If the GOP is smart -- and they're ususlly not -- they'll find an appealing ticket to carry on the vision and policies without being sucked into the circus.

So, if the lefties are adamant that Trump not become president again, yet will accept another as an opponent, then Trump is the one that they fear the most. So much so, that they will do anything to keep him out of the Whitehouse.
In other words, he's the only one who can take them down.

I think there are others up to the task, probably with more tact and less vitriol, but focused on the same outcome. And to be clear, I don' think the "lefties", as you call them, would be accepting of another opponent, they would just be more hard pressed to dispatch a candidate who did not bring the DJT aura that galvanizes the opposition to madness.

Trump will continue to have an important role to play, no matter what, but it needs to be in the background.
Of course, no matter WHO the Republicans nominate, the left will center their attack on Trump and claim the candidate is a Trump puppet. But we have a chance of dealing with that......as long as Trump is not on the ticket.

It is not a matter of swaying the left/Democrats into accepting a Republican candidate.....they never will. But we MUST get the v**es of a significant percentage of the independents who do not care for or pay attention to politics, except for commercials, the news, and sound bites. IMO we can not do that due to the past and ongoing smear campaign against Trump.
If I am wrong, PLEASE tell me how we can get enough of those people to v**e for a Trump ticket in 2024.

Thank you for endorsing this point of view. I think it is critical to success. And I don't believe Independents are going to buy the fear mongering promulgated by dems if Trump is not in the ticket. Compared to the l*****t empty suits the dems are contemplating running, the independents will surely come back home to an alternative candidate. Job one is to assauge Trump's feelings not to run as an independent, which is a death sentence for a GOP ticket. Job two is to make sure the cndidate is not a RINO but an America First believer to keep the base enthused. The path is there for a resounding win if the GOP would only play its cards right. Trump can be an asset and hislegacy preserved if he would get on board.

No one scares the lefties like Trump. They already know that they cannot break him, like they know that they can break anyone else, even DeSantis or any other rising republican star. Putty in their hands, whereas Trump is a hardened diamond, not malleable like the rest of the republican bench.

It could simply be their income difference. When you have a lot of money it gives you a little more freedom to "shoot from the hip". And the left has made it plain that law-fare is/will be a common tactic. Of course DeSantis has a political background...which is always just a bit suspicious in general, but there are a few/very few decent politicians and DeSantis seems to be one of them. Time will tell.
