Since none of us change any minds, it is a valid question as to why we come here. My answer is to learn how to argue with people who disagree with you completely. Your friends won't tell you where the weak points of your thinking are, but your enemies are happy to. And we are enemies. To pretend we are not is to deny reality.

If your ideas can stand up to those who are trying to destroy them, you probably know what you are talking about. There are many who come here who reveal that they don't know what they are talking about. They are easy to spot. They cannot answer questions or defend their positions.

All of us have our egos and want an audience, whether or not we know what we are talking about. If you don't want an audience, then why are you here ? So when somebody asks you a question about your posts, why wouldn't you use the opportunity to run your mouth and have your say ? Everywhere else you go people tell you to shut up. Here you are invited to exercise your God given right to talk. Yet so many L*****ts get stage fright, when I question them.

I don't understand it. I guess I am just intimidating. I don't mean to be. I try to coax them as if I am speaking to a small child or a Golden Retriever.

1.Given a post on almost any subject, the same d******e groups will respond: L*****ts; trolls; then Rightists. One can easily list the individuals in each category here on OPP.

2. It is also the case that there is no resolution of differences between the commentators, no learning process, and no acceptance of correct thinking by the errant ones.

3. For the posters it is all about taking a stand on an issue, criticizing the stand of others, or, worse, pontificating on an issue from the vantage point of a dangerous foreign ideology that by far the majority of Americans reject out of hand, such as R****m, Socialism or C*******m.

4. This is why I am so grateful for the many members here on OPP that clearly support the rule of law, the Constitution, rational thinking, patriotism, and The American Way of Life. Please keep posting!
