Ethnic cleaning comes to the US

Florida governor Ron DeSantis’s decision to move unwitting migrants to Martha’s Vineyard last week has been compared to a “ethnic cleansing with genocidal precedence” by a philosopher who has closely studied dehumanization and its role in genocide and the Holocaust.

“Of course this is not genocide, but it is reminiscent of awful things that have happened in the past. As soon as you start treating human beings as undesirable problems to dump on others, you are in very dangerous territory,” said David Livingstone Smith, a professor of philosophy at the University of New England.

“What frightens me most actually is that someone who does these sort of acts is capable of doing much worse,” he said.

The remarks by Smith, who is the author of Making Monsters: The Uncanny Power of Dehumanization, come as dozens of more people, many of whom are migrants who are believed to have come from Venezuela, arrived in Washington DC on Saturday morning after being bused from Texas. The migrants, including a one-month-old baby, were dropped in front of the Naval Observatory, where Vice-President Kamala Harris resides.

The shuttling of about 50 migrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard – with a stop in Florida – last week has been condemned by US president Joe Biden and human rights groups after it emerged that the migrants were lied to and told they were being sent to Boston to find jobs and opportunities. Lawyers for the individuals have called on state officials in Massachusetts to investigate the incident, including the circumstances around the two charter flights that t***sported them to the Massachusetts island, which were arranged by DeSantis.

They went voluntarily and the rich, liberal Martha's Vineyard snobs kick them out ASAP. They had been sent to Florida in the dead of night without notice.

The time of the flights is irrelevant, air travel is 24-7. The people the government moved went so with their knowledge and consent to parts of the country where family and communities ready for their presence awaited them. And the people are not i*****l a***ns, they are refugees awaiting asylum hearings in compliance with US law and treaty obligations.

Yes - they are i*****l a***ns.

"First of all, in order for asylum to be granted, a person has to have a well-founded fear of persecution. In other words, it’s not enough to say, “My country is run by a ruthless dictator.” The asylum applicant must be a specific target (for example, someone who tried to o*******w the government or a close friend or relative thereof).

Second, that individual should apply for asylum in the closest country where the danger does not exist. Instead, asylum applicants forum shop and, not surprisingly, most choose the U.S. as their forever destination.

Following that logic, only citizens of Canada and Mexico should be entitled to list the U.S. as their first choice to obtain asylum, and they’d have no reason to because both of those countries’ governments are stable.
What’s happening now is like a starving homeless person being led to a warm, safe shelter and insisting on being taken to a five-star hotel."

The Biden Administration is using i*****l i*********n SOLELY, and PURELY for the purpose of increasing it's own political power, believing that said i*****l i*******ts will v**e DEMOCRATIC. The fact that they are not enforcing our existing i*********n l*ws, and causing economic and social upheaval, is irrelevant. - Posted by ACP45

It must really piss you off that the hypocrisy of you l*****t snow flakes is on such display! LOL! 400,000 have come to Del Rio. That is ten times their population and Martha's Vineyard snobs complain about 25??? Imagine ten times the New York population showing up in New York! That would be 80 million!

Since you are so concerned for them ; why don't you stop casting stones at people and do something positive ? Here is what I suggest : That you contact Dept of Homeland security , and notify them that you will take in six or eight . You must be affluent enough to have a home you could welcome them into . I am sure you would not mind housing just a few . Maybe you are affluent enough that you could buy them an electric car

“The time of the flights is irrelevant, air travel is 24-7.”

Response: You’re correct. The time of the flights is irrelevant. Your “air travel is 24/7” is also irrelevant. What is relevant is there are flights to begin with. Lock them up near the point of entry and send them back ASAP with the loss of being able to apply for legal entry.

“The people the government moved went so with their knowledge and consent to parts of the country where family and communities ready for their presence awaited them.”

Response: Is that right? What percentage of illegal invaders have family they’re trying to connect with? I haven’t seen any numbers on that. In your wisdom, I’m certain you can share this information. Perhaps you should review the articles published about the NY mayor and the DC mayor. There are also other complaints about having to accept the illegal invaders but you can start there. Their words are the exact opposite of what you profess.

“And the people are not i*****l a***ns, they are refugees awaiting asylum hearings in compliance with US law and treaty obligations.”

Response: That is a blatant false statement. They did not enter in compliance with U.S. law, therefore their entry is illegal.

If your defense of these illegal invaders is so strong, there should be no need for you to ignore facts and distort the t***h.

I’m sorry but they ARE I******S! Biden is just sending them to red states. They are being sent to places that don’thave family. Why in God’s name is it OK for people to walk into our country? The money we spend on these people should be used for the people here who need help!

You do what all L*****ts do, you change words to fit your nonsense. Call them refugees, accidental tourists, or victims. They are still illegal criminals who broke our laws. As our President is a criminal for facilitating their criminal activity.

To equate the Martha's Vineyard event with, or even to mention it in the same sentence with, the C*******t genocide committed by Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and other l*****ts, is, in my opinion, the equivalent of journalistic malpractice. I realize that he is a philosopher so he must be accorded some license to say wh**ever comes into his mind, which in the case of college philosophy professors is usually pretty far out in left field. Given that, it seems to me that we should weigh the value of his piece accordingly - not very meaningful. Placed alongside Biden's barrage of some 2 million "migrants," many illegally in this Country, it is pretty insignificant. I see it as a token amount that is serving to show the proponents of i*****l i*********n what it's like for the people of border states to be inundated with unvetted non-citizens. Call it a stunt or cruelty if you wish but to object to it on the basis that anyone who would do this would be capable of doing much worse, begs the question: What do you call what Biden has done in less than 2 years? Is that enough worse to be worried about or is it OK because he is the correct political party?
