I have read several articles about a rise in teenage suicides. Perhaps it was always there and the news media of the past chose to ignore it. The latest issue of AARP reports nearly 1 in 10 high school students have admitted to trying to take their own life in the last 12 months. Suicide rates have gone up 53% among adolescents between 2010 and 2020. Those being the Obama and Trump years. The article doesn’t mention any reduction here during the Biden years though so maybe it continues.
