It's hard to believe $20 billion is now called "insignificant". If that's the case the government needs to send me that amount. I can promise you I'll put it to better use than Starbucks and a gym membership. More like top shelf liquor, the best beer, prime rib and lobster, and Victoria Secret type models on a around the world cruise. I promise to return what I don't spend. Yeah right. Anybody up for the cruise? I reserve the right to refuse access to any liberal assholes of my choosing.

I worked for the federal Government (DOD-Navy) for 43 years, 7 months. We had credit cards for official travel and they were helpful since we didn't need money advanced before the trips, we had access to cash for minor purchases like toothpaste, bar soap, etc. but candy bars and soda were on our own "dime." A Travel Claim had to be filled out after each trip and we needed receipts for everything! If someone was caught using the card for personal items he/she was subject to disciplinary action up to and including removal. I saw people get 3 days off w/o pay and checks written to the Govt. to reimburse for unauthorized expenses. The guys wasting all of the money reported here have incredibly lax supervision.

We could put this Nation in the black overnight by just eliminating federal bureaucracies that have no other purpose than perpetuating their own existence.

Well at least cut back on staffing. As of this year the IRS had about 95,000 employees. From my dealings with them in person and over the phone there are about 94,988 i***ts employed there. So the number of employees should be cut to 12. It's a start.

Amen to that. Eliminate Education, HUD, EPA, IRS, Energy, Ginny Mae & Freddie Mac, and break up Homeland Security would be a good start.  :-D
