This is a small school system serving around 200,000 Hassidic Jews, and the word dysfunctional was used because when 1000 of their students were tested with New York's standardized reading and math test, and not a single student was able to pass it.

The failure to pay attention and hold this charter school system accountable for failing to educate students would be on Dems as they run the state. The question here is how a religiously oriented charter school can collect billions from the government for educating students then fail to prove they are doing an adequate or competent job doing so.

What these religious schools are doing is focusing on their religion and indoctrinating students to the religion and not to the real world reading, math, and science sk**ls they will need.

The question starts coming down to whether the government owes charter schools for providing substandard education that focuses on religion and political indoctrination versus actual sk**ls.

So it is ok for state schools to focus on their WOKE agenda while the children are failing and falling behind. Of course, this is a RawStory piece so you cannot trust any of it, but at least at religious schools they are learning some positive values.
