Mitt Romney Slams Incompetent Obama: “Worse Than Even I Expected”

For a man who has repeatedly insisted that he will not run for president a third time, former Republican nominee Mitt Romney has made a second career out of stumping for various local politicians. This week he was in West Virginia, speaking at a rally for three Republican congressional candidates. The crowd was undeniably electrified by Romney’s appearance with chants of “Mitt! Mitt!” rising up to greet the man many had hoped would dethrone Barack Obama two years ago.

Speaking of the vacationer-in-chief, it was his unbelievably abysmal second term that drew some of Romney’s harshest comments. Mentioning the presidents failure in a number of key areas (the economy, immigration, myriad troubles overseas), Romney said that Obama was performing “a good deal worse than even I expected.”

“I was not a big fan of the president’s policies, as you know, either domestically or internationally,” the former governor of Massachusetts said, “but the results of his mistakes and errors, in my opinion, have been more severe than even I would have predicted.”

His fiery speech and non-stop stump schedule had many in the press booth wondering if he was gearing up to take another crack at the presidency. Again, though, Romney remained steadfastly against the idea of campaigning for a third time. “I’m not running,” he told reporters when the rally was finished. “I’m expecting to be getting behind some good people or a good person who will be.”

Unfortunately, there’s little reason to suspect that Mitt Romney in 2016 would be a stronger candidate than Mitt Romney in 2012. Some might suspect that a challenger other than the incumbent Obama would be easier to beat, but polling shows this isn’t necessarily the case. While polls pitting Obama against Romney in 2014 have favored the Republican, those same polls demonstrate that respondents would choose Hillary Clinton if she were the one on the other side of the b****t.

His strength as a nominee is only part of the problem, though. The other part lies with his conservative credentials. For two campaigns in a row, the RNC has gotten behind a candidate just this side of a RINO. Some believe the mainstream media is responsible for these choices, using their liberal cunning to essentially decide the Republican nominee on behalf of the party. There are good reasons to suspect this is exactly the problem, but there are plenty of people in the GOP who think that moderate, centrist Republicans make the best candidates. Romney and John McCain both fit that bill rather well. Certainly better than George W. Bush, a man who handily won two terms in a row.

There are some bright, fresh conservative candidates out there. Candidates that bring that exciting, youthful energy that liberals found so inspiring in Barack Obama. If you want a candidate that will get people to actually get out and v**e on November 8, 2016, you need someone who actually believes in what they’re saying. Merely looking a bit like Ronald Reagan is a far cry from being Ronald Reagan. Maybe it’s best if Romney sticks to cheerleading this time around.

Wh**ever Mr. Romney decides to do I'm willing to bet it will be the correct decision for a.) The Country, b.) His Family, c.) The Republican Party... I don't know how many remember his dad, he was another good man, just as Mitt is, in fact that was the first thing that got my attention back in '06-'07, what a good man he seemed to be, "What They Say About 'The Apple' Not Falling Far From The Tree" or my personal favorite: "Like Father Like Son"... They were both very good men... If he decides to help another candidate get elected I can't can't think of a better man to represent America as Sec. of State than Mitt Romney... Don D. :-)

Now there's a surprise! Who would have guessed, that the person who LOST to Obama - would not think very highly of him? I know! It just surprised the hell out of me too! The last I heard, Romney said ( publicly) that he would help the President any way he could. I guess he was drunk at the time. It makes sense, he just lost the e******n. I'd be sad too.

ipnmajor-nobody can help Obama as he knows it all and does not need advice from anyone. Thus the reason for surrounding himself with either air heads or "yes" men/women. Romney is spot-on with his assessment of Obama and his failed administration. Romney lost to fraud not Obama. I***ts re-elected Obama so wear the label proudly as you imbibe more of the Kool Aid. Good Luck America !!!

Not surprising that the person who had his azz handed to him on a paper plate would have anything good to say about the person who whipped his azz.

I like Romney for a Cabinet Post, I see him as a very savvy Sec. of State...

New blood is hard, because both Parties are controlled by "OLd Heads" and if you are not beholding to them they will stop or try to stop you from being on the Ticket during the primaries...

Teddy Roosevelt found out after he stepped down thinking his handpicked successor (Taft) would continue his programs, didn't work out so he ran as a third Party Candidate (Bull Moose) and that's how Wilson became President...

No third party candidate will ever win in America as it is now, they are only spoilers...

Right now the only candidate who I like 100% is Dr. Ben Carson, he has some problems however, the GOP power brokers don't like or trust him, so he will have that hill to clime...

Big problem also is IF he was elected, being an outsider to "D.C." dance he would have to hire first rate Cabinet Officers to guide him in his first few years, till the GOP folks in the House & Senate got to know him and he them, it could be done don't get me wrong, but he needs to be aware of this hill...

The other guys out there I just don't know enough about to form an opinion yet...

If Carson isn't allowed to run, maybe Condoleezza Rice could be persuaded, she has all the experience needed both Domestic (a little light) and Foreign (a ton)... (Ben Carson as V.P., that would bet the "Red Necks" crazy, ;-) ... Don D.
