Just a typical Christian Conservative. But don't let me fool you. I have a temper that I have learned I MUST control. And I despise baldfaced lies to my face. I must struggle to separate the lies from the liars. What helps me most is that I want neither my wife nor Jesus Christ my King to EVER be ashamed of my words or deeds. Not always successful, though.

I hear and admire you…. Pray for me! I have had about all I can take of the insanity and lies!!!! Like to think I am one of GOD’s Warriors…. Not afraid to die….

Every day, Ms. Every day! All of us must rely on God's blessings, forgiveness, and strength. We are all abject failures on our own.

My brothers and I have, over the years, enjoyed camping at Fort Richardson State Park. As I'm sure you know, that is only a short drive slightly NW of Paradise. BTW, I have just Googled Paradise and was amazed at how beautiful the rivers and lakes in close proximity are. That is, of course, assuming the drought hasn't dried much of it up. Since my wife & I retired to Lake Whitney about 10 years ago, we rarely go RV-ing for camping purposes, unless it is available on our drives across country for visits to Family and friends.

Anytime we head to Childress to visit my sister, I will make efforts to notify you in hopes of at least a short visit with you and your husband. However, we aren't big on Childress as a destination...except for seeing my kid sister. She, at 64, is no kid, but a wonderful hostess.

Thanks for sharing your memories.-- My Dad was a cowhand. My earliest memories are standing around a branding iron fire with a few other little kids eating rocky mountain oysters we thrust onto pieces of wire to cook over the coals.
I swam in an irrigation ditch that was about 40 degrees and caught thousands of trout out of those same ditches.

Some of my best memories was at the brandings. My first job was manning the “dope bucket”…….. Smearing that black tar over the dehorned area and the area where those mountain oysters were harvested from! LOL! I was the third daughter of four. My two older sisters were gone by the time I was old enough to help my Dad in the day by day running of the ranch and my baby sister was 10 years younger……..so I got Daddy all to myself! He made everyday an adventure and fun no matter what the job was or how hard we worked. Whenever we helped at one of the neighboring ranch’s during branding season I went with Daddy to help. I was always the only girl……. it seems that everyone had a son to bring except my Dad! LOL! It didn’t seem to bother him, though! And it certainly didn’t bother me! No house chores for me!
