True compassion comes from individuals. Compassionate government is an oxymoron, since the only source Govt has to provide for the people is to take other peoples money first.

What democrats and bloodsuckers don't seem to realize is that conservative God fearing Americans are the most generous people on the face of the earth. We don't need the govt. to determine that we give. We give because many of us are Christians and we give from our hearts because that is what we believe. We give because we love people and are grateful for all that God has blessed us with. The govt. takes our money at gunpoint like the mafia and then wants to force us to give to things that are opposed to God. Satan is in charge of our govt. today. In years past our govt. surrendered to God as our authority. Evil begets evil.

This comes from a JPEG file, provided by "Young Progressive Voices" which makes it difficult to comment in context. What was missing is the end of the sentence:
"as it has become since the birth of the Progressive movement with Woodrow Wilson". With that context I agree.
The Progressive movement is in the final stages of incrementally turning this once great country into a welfare state. Where we once valued individual Freedom above all else, half the country now values Government supplied cradle to grave security even more.
I for one "will not go gently into the night". I want to live again in a country that respects its founding principles and the Constitution. So I continue to urge whoever will listen to V**e in two days.
