So my mother in-law took my kids for there annual physical today (no parents present) once the doc had my son alone for his private inspection, he was asked about guns in the house. Is this normal, legal? Especially with no parents present. I have nothing to hide just kinda blew me away.

That would make my angry, it is not a DR. role to ask those questions.. But once, I told a Social Worker about having my grandson with when I shot 3 tom turkey which had been attacking him and also a couple other kids.. she was all upset that I allowed him to watch birds get k**led.. Many things are carried to extrem.. the idea may have merit but the final version is simply foolish..

stuff happens..

Agreed permafrost!!
But who says where the final version will end up or go. Probably nowhere but still felt like they trampled his and my civil liberties. ( if we truly have any left)
Why didn't they ask if I had a car... or insurance on it....or prescription pill unlocked in my bathroom??

I suppose a question about your car and insurance would make just a tiny bit more sense, very little.. the pill one, well as a doc he would have a clue concerning pills I suppose..

It is so funny to me, can you picture the rancher when he walked out in the morning and looked at his best cow? And how the heck did he get it off, or the cow out as the case may have been..

Quite a challenge.
I had a 400 pound calf stick it’s head through a hole in the bottom of a plastic protein tub and it got stuck.
It was fine when he had his head up, but when he dropped it, the tub slid down and he couldn’t see.
Kinda like a cone the put on a dog at the vet.
I finally chased him down and grabbed it after all day trying.
