Oops, I just read that trump posted that he will not try to stop the DOJ from releasing these documents...in fact he is encouraging them to do so.

Uh-huh. Just like he promised to release his tax records as soon as his audit was done. Then he’s been fighting in the courts for 5 years to keep them secret.

The only reason he did this was damage control, he had no intentions to release his documents the DOJ said he was free to do, when the DOJ trumped his play he all of a sudden supports it.

I just heard a deeper part of the story.
In January when they asked trump for the files they also told him to put a lock on the door where they were being stored .
And they also put up a video cam to watch who was going in and out !!!
Apparently, something popped up on the video feed that prompted a Search Warrant immediately.
And it was enacted.
The Wall Street journal has just noted that the FBI took out 11 sets of Top Secret Files
That nobody , nobody including trump should have in their possession.
Clearly a Felony.
What was the purpose of trump having these files.
Was Jared selling them to the Saudi’s ?
They would have worth billions to the right people. Or was he holding them for collateral to slime himself out of this debacle .?

If those boxes contain US nuclear top secret material, there’s a whole other law covering that, rather than just possessing simple classified stuff. Not even a president can declassify nuclear secrets.
