This is a left leaning post but asks a fundamental question; is there truly trickle down? How much should be depend on the trickle before we rise up against it??? Each year the divide between the "Have a lots" and the "Have very little" gets bigger. Why and what is to be done about it? Right or wrong, the gap cannot widen each and every year!!!

Now the way I see it, there are the Have's, the Have a Lot's and the Have Very Little's of the world. The Have a Lot's have increased their incomes by four while the Have's and the Have Very Little's have lost income over the past 10 to 15 yrs, mainly due to the Have a Lot's manipulation of markets, thus falsely inflating the costs of virtually every thing we need. When the Have's and the Have Very Little's complain about it, the Have a Lot's and even some of the Have's point the finger at Envy by the Have's and the Have Very Little's. I disagree. I place myself in the low end of the Have's and I see things costing more and more and continue to find out that it doesn't need to be that way except for the way the Have a Lot's are falsely inflating things to increase their Lot's of which I have spoken. The owners of the businesses some of us work for consist of both Have's and Have a Lot's and I know they are also paying higher for what they need to run their businesses and thus, cannot pass on anything to their employees, many of which are Have's and some, Have Very Little's. But yet, so many of these big businesses report record profits. Many of the Have's and the Have Very Little's get the idea that these companies are owned more by Have a Lot's than by Haves, and thus while doing their part to falsely inflate the costs of nearly every thing we need, they also profit by further increasing their Lot's and not passing it on to their employees the Have's and the Have Very Little's. Considering the way the system is being manipulated by the Have a Lot's, their cries of Envy on the part of the Haves and the Have Very Little's is falling on deaf ears, except for those who refuse to acknowledge the fact of what is going on in this greed driven environment, financially dominated by the Have a Lot's and their power to continue to do this, ever increasing their Lot's at the expense of the Have's and the Have Very Little's. So, it ain't Envy on the part of the Have's and the Have Very Little's, it pure greed on the part of the Have a Lot's. But even as they bleed the country dry, still some of the Have's, who actually continue to be bled themselves, support the Have a Lot's blindly in the name of what they call "freedom" which I interpret as freedom to rip off, freedom to c***t, freedom to steal. So lets stop calling it Envy and call it what it really is.

Way over simplified. There is however some reality in this. It's not envy, it's bad decisions, crap education and laziness coupled with the loss of many good jobs at all levels that have moved to china or elsewhere.
Need numbers to support this. Particularly, earnings brackets for the 3 groups spoken of.

BTW, greed is a good thing so long as it is kept within legal boundaries.

I agree and call the go alongs to get along (Have a lot) sheep. The gas price rise and food price rise doesn't really have to be, gas suppliers and food suppliers are greedy MFs.
