I watched last night and can honestly say, this is not an investigation, it is a crucifixion, pure and simple. It's the Sanhedrin versus Jesus, it's the Salem crazies versus the "witches." It's the Spanish Inquisition versus heresy.

It started with what one could only call opening arguments by the prosecution and then went on to closing arguments by the prosecution. Nothing from any defense, at all. And then witnesses whose testimony has already been presented by the prosecution.

When in American history has our government ever been involved in anything like this????

How can it be legal?

How is it not an abuse of power?

How is all of the "evidence" not now corrupted and tainted?? How could it ever be admissible in any court now??

Why does the president even let it continue???

How did we ever get to this place in our history???


It shames me for being a citizen of the country where this is occurring.

The thing you have to remember about the 1*6 investigation last night is that every one of the comettee members were in a safe room under the Capitol in fear for their lives, along with most of the other congressmen. They will not stop untill they are satifid that they get to the bottom of 1*6. Chairman Thompson has said repeatedly if anyone has any evidence to come forward. Many peopke have done this so they still are sifting through even more evidence.

What gives you the idea that they ae trying to get to the bottom of anything??? This is nothing but a "get Trump" campaign. There is nothing "fact finding" or "investigative" about it. If they were going to get to the bottom of it, they would be interested in finding out how they weren't ready for this, given that Trump was warning them of potential violence and the FBI had intel which they gave to Schumer and Pelosi personally. If they are interested in getting to the bottom of why they were in the basement fearing for their lives, why the hell would they not want to find out about how security of the capital failed them?????

First of all the keyword is inquisition as oppose to trial; as far as I'm concerned it ought to be well beyond the point of inquisition, and as far as the law is concerned, comparatively speaking of course , they're in the stages of probable cause or reasonable suspicion.
How could you have listened to Trump for four years and not have him on trial for treason,s******n, and every thing else synomous with it.If you know anything of this countries history so far as persecution of individuals with even

So how about you and your feeling on the security of the capital, given that Trump himself warned of the potential for violence and that the FBI gave intel to Pelosi and Schumer personally about the up coming anticipated violence on J** 6th. Why were they so unprepared?? Wouldn't you say there is a competence issue in the security department? Or just maybe, they ignored the warnings hoping there would be some routies they could say were guided by Trump.

That being said, how do you feel about the unheard testimony of those who say the witnesses like Ms Cassiddy are lying?? You're not interested in hearing that she is telling lies about things that never occurred, does it?? Oh hell no, Trump is guilty and should have been hung for treason years before.

This is not a trial, it is not a prosecution...what this is is a fact finding exercise, this is the stage where the important key things that were found are laid out for the American people to see

This is perhaps the basic flaw with right wing thinking, they don't, they are too busy blathering on and making noise to pay attention to the facts.

Pay attention to what we are learning, apply your brain and any critical thinking sk**ls to counter arguments and defenses. You need all the facts before intelligent defenses can be made.
