Contrastingly, Trump's lawyers can't trust him to speak without perjuring himself about really important matters (like the attempted o*******w of the U.S. government), or to behave responsibly (like calling off a mob instead of egging them on).

Aside from being a figurehead, the actual job of the presidency (to actually do the right things) has to involve a lot of cooperation with informed people such as advisors. This is something that Biden's way better at than Trump was.

Even if Biden _were_ personally incompetent, he still would be operating within (or comparatively much closer to it than Trump) the bounds of normal government as understood by his advisors. You don't see _him_ flying off the handle and/or stirring up mobs to violence for his own personal gain.

I've heard Biden speak often enough. He's intelligible, speaks in a reasonable way, and behaves about the way I've come to expect most presidents to behave for the past 40 years or so.

I don't agree with everything he says, nor with how he says some things. But at least he does talk and behave like a reasonable person and reasonable president would talk and behave (unlike _some_ people we've all seen in the last few years).

I don't recall actually hearing him make slips of speech, but am ready to believe he has. It's no big deal to me. If I heard him miss on a word or two, I'd probably just recognize it as an error, usually a trivial error, and I'd be ready to move on to something more important or more interesting.
