Ideally for either party your best candidate is a governor. Running a state is good experience and exposure. Theoretically Democrats should be in the drivers seat. They have governors in New York and California. Good experience and also being large states they bring a lot of money and E*******l v**es.
However Andrew Cuomo flamed out, and Gavin Newsome is a Dick head. Whilst Republicans have their own large state governors in Florida and Texas, who look much much better.
