We have this thing in Texas called the Remembrance Project. They have a quilt that has the names, of many of the people murdered by i*****l a***ns. It goes on display throughout the US lest we forget them.

It's not something the Press ever dwells on. They like to write sob stories about how the I*****l A***ns are all kids fleeing violence and never get into the gang, drug and s***ery connections and other criminal aspects of the i*****l a***ns.

After all if you are going to disregard a countries laws to get in, you aren't really going to follow the laws once you are here.

Its heartbreaking to read about the victims, many of them children.

I do not mean in any way to denigrate the remembrance of the death of innocent people, which is always a good thing to do. But I do want to point out 2 things:

- These quilts are a direct outgrowth of The Names Project, which remembers those taken by AIDS. Seeing the attached picture form The Mall will give you a sense of the enormity of the lives lost.

- The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated Alipac as a H**e Group. I realize many on OPP will take issue with this, but it's worth noting. As well we should all remember that our own heritage, each and every one, began with immigrants - both legal and not.
