Putin's dire warnings and veiled threats over NATO membership are legend, can he take this humiliation sitting down?

Putin has almost more than he can handle in Ukraine. Even he must recognize now that invading Ukraine was a terrible blunder.

If you go out into the woods looking to poke a bear that is one thing. When the bear wanders into the camp and starts attacking the campers do you poke it or let the rampage continue? At what point is it appropriate to discourage the bear from continuing on to other campsites?

No, we are not even close to ready. No one can ever be ready for the unthinkable.

If Putin uses more than 5 nuclear weapons, we will all die in Nuclear Winter. I don't think Putin will attack NATO, or Finland before they become a full NATO member. But you never know about Putin. He has made a grave mistake invading Ukraine, and he won't accept that fact and keeps soldiering on.

From 1945 to 1980, over 500 nuclear weapons tests were conducted in the atmosphere,

without causing a single Nuclear Winter.

It takes a ground explosion and subsequent fires to raise the dust, smoke etc into the atmosphere to possibly create a nuclear winter.

They were not fired over cities and did not have anything catching fire. The fires are the problem. They were also not fired at the same time. I suggest you look up nuclear winter on Wikipedia and actually read something on it.

Thank you. I was going to suggest the same thing rather than do his research for him. Thinking that a nuclear exchange would anything other than devastating is foolish.
