Funny you mention the middle man. Ours is Indian. From India. We call him Kevin because even if we could spell his real name, we couldn't say it. Cool guy! I don't know details, but he has a friend in the liquor business, and gets it cheap. Every so often, he'll gift us a half gallon of Crown Royal, or something else. He once slapped a case of Silver Patron on my wife's desk, and told her to take it home because the Indians won't drink it.
I pressed him about it one time, and it's legit best I can gather.
Talking to Kevin is like talking to tech support on the phone, but he's a real hoot!
