That's bulls**t. My spouse is Democrat, I'm independent leaning conservative and I don't "ever" make my decisions based on him although am open to his views, I don't swing left since reaching adulthood.

There are 2 ways to add amendments to the Constitution, look them up. What you can't do is say "I don't like it so let's just change it". I ask what the year had to do with it? It's designed to allow for amendments but not everything applies.
