The divide

I've been thinking a lot about how divided this country has become, and how apparent it became during the Obama years when he pushed very liberal policies and set about pushing race relations back 50 years. And thinking about what drew so many to the campaign promises and subsequent policies of President Trump. And here's what I've realized. President Trump (and now "MAGA" candidates) talked about and addressed things the regular American people were already concerned about, but regular politicians, left or right, seldom addressed. Democrats and other regular politicians talk about and address things they WANT us to think about, and regular Americans mostly don't give a rat's ass about. So basically so called MAGA serves the needs of the people (as is the prime duty and function of a democratic republic government) and Democrats and regular politicians try to MOLD people to believe and think the way they want them to.

I agree!! It seems inflation is always at least double the number the government puts out. It was the same in the late 70s I recall
