Yet they keep blathering about how Dems are all about spending...how do you reconcile that they manage to spend yet the deficit goes down?

That is for sure.

Generally it's a spin thing. The deficit is going down compared to last years because we're no longer dumping trillion's in c***d relief. Generally Democrats wreck the economy so much and or reduce the military Republicans are then forced to spend more. neither party is very conservative when it comes to tax payer money. some on here are to damn stupid to realize it.

How many dollars out of your pocket do you spend on the deficit?
Compare that to the amount out of your pocket on this raging 40-year high inflation.

I think the main two differences between Republicans and Democrats, which affect deficits, are:

1. Republicans lower taxes on corporations and wealthy people, which results in less money coming in, and that tends to increase deficits.

2. Republicans have a philosophy (whether they really believe it or not) that if you give money to rich people and to some large corporations (as in subsidies for oil corporations), it will somehow benefit everybody, but it so often doesn't that it tends to result in greater deficits (by more money outgoing from the government -- as in subsidies for oil corporations).

Republicans among the general population understand the concept of frugality of spending, but they don't understand enough about the above 1. & 2.

Republican economics is a redistribution of wealth from the large mass of people to the richest people. Most Republican v**ers don't understand that. But what they do understand is the concept of frugality of spending because they see that in their own personal financial situations.

What planet do you live on?
I don’t think you noticed that the deficit is skyrocketing under the Biden administration!
If you’re going to lie, at least make it believable.

No, the difference is Republicans want you to decide how and where to spend your money.
Democrats don't want you to decide, they will decide how to spend it for you.
Democrats, the masters at spending OPM.

First you were wrong about less revenue due to cutting taxes. Under Trump, more revenue came in to the Federal government than ever before. Democrats don’t understand how inflation works. Unfortunately they understand how dependency works. Your understanding of the economy is juvenile at best.
We have a spending problem not a taxing problem.

The top fifty percent of wage earners pay one hundred percent of income tax. The top ten pays seventy percent. Tell us more about those evil Republicans giving "the rich" all those breaks, when the bottom fifty percent pay nothing.

Skyrocketing inflation helps push down the debt. That ALSO happens when Dems are in control. In addition, it helps tremendously when the "end justifies the means" party is doing the books.

You were going pretty good until you fell off the cliff with the last paragraph.
