First casualty is likely to be the legal age an assault style rifle can be purchased at...is it really so aggregious that this age correspond with the legal age for handguns?

For the last time they are NOT ASSAULT RIFLES. Anything you use to assault someone with is an "assault weapon." Assault rifles MUST have selective fire capability. If these are military rifles, why does no military in the world use them? You misspelled egregious.

The article was written in a normal liberal bias. The person being interviewed didn’t seem to know that AR’s are just scary looking black rifles. Even though he worked in the industry. I wonder why he no longer is. I don’t even believe a true assault weapon is sold on the market. I have a .22 rifle that looks like that Is that an assault rifle?

What you say may be true. However the draw to this weapon is Not whether it’s a
.22 cal. It any other caliber, It’s that the connotations and emotional attractions to it should not be a matter on our streets.

People that do these things are in desperate need of help. Their parents failed them, their families failed them and their schools failed them. The parents are not passing any morals on nor taking time to raise there children. It’s these kind of problems that need corrected. God needs to be taught in the home as well as in Church. I know a lot of y’all don’t believe that and I’m sorry you don’t. We need to get all of these violent games calmed down. Long guns for the most part aren't used on the streets. Hand guns are what are on the streets.
I own 6 ARs in various calibers, 6 or 7 hand guns and 5 shotguns, several .22s, two crossbows and 2 smoke poles. Not one time have I ever pointed one of these weapons at another person. The problem is not with the weapons but with the persons and our political policies. When someone commits a crime with a weapon of any type, LOCK THEM UP instead of putting them back on the street.
I enjoy shooting my weapons at targets but also have them for protection. You'd best ring my doorbell as apposed to kicking in one of my doors because if you did you'd be bleeding on my flood. Not meant as a threat to you but you get my drift. Mike

Unless you bump stock it but in that case you are not going to hit what your shooting at. You can bump stock using a belt loop. Mike
