A far better choice for self defense where the attacker is within 100 ft or less (which 99% of the time) is not a rifle (except for a shotgun) rather something light, quick, easy to shoot and accurate is a handgun.

In 2029 45368 auto deaths, 10123 by drunk drivers

Where 4 or more people were k**led by gun 78% was hand gun, not rifle.

Over 4 times more deaths by automobiles than guns.
The same amount +/- a few by drunk drivers as guns.

Using liberal logic we need to stop the bloodshed of four times more deaths by auto than guns and because more where horrifically murdered by a drunk driver than those k**led by guns....we must deny responsible sober drivers the right to drive along with the drunk drivers.... we must stop the violent senseless deaths and BAN Automobiles.
