Interesting occurance during last nights long period of thunder storms.
I live in a four unit two story condo.
It had been thundering and pouring real hard for over an hour. About midnight I noticed a lot, a real lot, of water overflowing my gutter. We cleaned the gutters last fall and this wasn't expected. Some slight leakage. So I go out in the storm to check things out. Go to check the basement for flooding. And in the stairwell, by the basement door I find a woman sitting there sound asleep. Homeless? Runaway? Woke her to get past her into my basement. Everything was okay. So I'm going back and soon to bed. The girl? Hey, it was really raining hard. I'm not into throwing some person out into the rain. She can stay.
Upstairs, I'm thinking. Really homeless or a run away. I could have offered her some food. But there relly wasn't anything in the refrigerator and I didn't think a banana would go over well. I place to sleep? Wasn't ready for that although I could have offered something. Maybe.
Well, in the morning, she was gone. She wasn't dressed that bad, like a homeless person. Hair looked nice, nice shoes, wh**ever. Mentioned it to a friend today. He suggested that maybe she was just some drunk that didn't manage to make it home when the storms hit. Yeah, maybe that was it.
But I will check again tonight. She better not be planning on moving into the stairwell.

Things happen for a reason and you may never know why but what you do know is in time of need you allowed her to stay. You paid it forward in other words.

Maybe she was just coming in out of the rain and fell asleep? 🤔
