At this point that taking sides thing makes it to where we can't even agree on the facts underlying any single issue that has common sense solutions...and there is no solution if there is no agreement of the problem and where ot stems from

If every call to try to reason together to identify and alleviate common problems is met with unrelated and unnecessary rants like this one was, people will stop trying to solve these problems. There may be a place where such rants are appropriate, even welcomed, but here they are off topic at the least and an attempt to hijack the thread at worst.

You have made a sensible request. Here are a few problems that I'd guess concern each of us and we could discuss: 1. Crime in my city. 2. Am I being taxed at a fair rate. 3. How can I find reliable and t***hful sources of information?

I'm sure you can think of others. We don't have to solve for world peace or ending hunger. But calm and rational minds can and should find way to alleviate if not cure some of our lesser problems. And if not you and me, perhaps the publishing of our views will inspire someone elses solution.
