Yes, that is a new threat! I wonder, though, whether a shooter can control such a gun in automatic mode? Sure, he can pump out a lot of rounds, but can they be aimed effectively? I do not know, but I have tried to hold an old carbine in auto on target, and I had a stock, a left hand hold and sling to help. It climbed up hard, sending rounds into the air. With a short barrel, I would expect it to be far worse! But that has a solution. You can buy a long-barreled receiver group and stock that fits a Glock exactly.

Then too, I would expect the barrel of a handgun to burn out rather fast at that rate of fire.

I suspect it would be extremely hard to control.

That could explain why so many kids are getting shot lately?

That is a very plausible possibility! Spraying rounds all over the place could result in hitting many unwanted or unintended targets.

The awful thought that the older kids themselves acquire such weapons and spray rounds at their enemies is a real possibility today.

Gosh, all those gun control laws are working just fine, aren't they?

The cause is not the guns, or the availability of them. The cause is deeply rooted in our society, took root a long time ago, like noxious weeds overtaking a flower bed. The C***d lock downs had a devastating effect on America's youth, but they were not the cause, all they did was exacerbate the insidious societal disease that is fracturing our country.

Over the past year and a half, violent crime, particularly homicide, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault, skyrocketed in
NYC (44% spike),
Los Angeles (250% jump in one week last June),
Milwaukee (95% jump in homicides),
Minneapolis (72% spike in homicides),
Chicago (34% increase over the previous year - 2020, shooting incidents up by 45%),
Philadelphia (violent crime up 57% over previous year, homicides up 24% - a 30 year high.),
Louisville (homicides up 99%),
Atlanta (homicides up 58%),
Portland (shooting incidents up 116%, homicides up 93%),
and similar stats for many other big cities.
Overall, nationwide, violent crime has increased 33% over the last year and a half.

There is a commonality in this, something is connecting all the dots,
What is it?
