While I’ve always been fervently opposed to Roe v. Wade, I’ve warned for decades that overturning it would not mean the end of legalized a******n. It would just mean the issue would go back to the people’s elected representatives in the individual states, where it belongs. The pro-life movement would have to shift away from the Supreme Court to winning over hearts and minds in states that would allow unfettered a******n.
That was probably the biggest myth about Roe. But many others have become dogma among pro-a******n activists. One of the chief ones is the “My body, my choice” argument. That’s conveniently forgotten whenever l*****ts want to force something onto your body, from a mask on your face to a v*****e in your arm. It’s also verifiably false scientifically. A child in the womb is dependent on the mother, but it’s a completely separate person. If they could show a DNA test proving that a baby in the womb has identical DNA to its mother, then they could make the argument that it’s just a part of her body, but that will never happen.
Mitch Behna at Western Journal has compiled a list of five more myths of pro-choice activists that are constantly repeated in the media. Where is that Disinformation Czarina when we need her?
