a major problem with this is that once it's done , it will by necessity , be done annually , or there will be r**ts
The only thing wrong with it is that the people from the families who can easily afford college , will be given this gift of not paying it back.
Those people are not the ones suffering under student debt.

No one needs to "suffer" under college debt. Just like no one "needs" a Maserati. Colleges these days do NOT offer value for the excessive price paid. At least half of their degree courses offer no actual earning potential in real life.
There should be no student loans period.--Community college should be free-- Higher learning should be made affordable with more scholarship options--tax the rich--

Agree that there should no more student loans.
Community college free: Agree only if it includes several (many) vocational options.
Higher learning: Private scholarships only - except government scholarships on a 1:1 year payback system in the military or another entity such as working in a VA hospital/community clinic/working in "hard to fill" areas such as geographically remote areas.
Not tax the rich - that is a popular talking point for l*****ts. However, I believe all Americans should be treated equally.

Itβs about ROI.
The GI Bill was attacked by the republicans.
After 15 years the the tallies were in.
For every $1 dollar spent on the GI Bill , $7.00 were returned to the government in the form of gathering higher tax amounts due to increased Salaries that the GI Bill realized.
Not a cost .
An investment.
They were so much smarter back then .
