I would hope parents would be. Sadly some of the younger ones might think it's "normal", wh**ever that means anymore...
But they are allowed to 'pray in school' - in after-hours clubs. And there are lots of those.
And you are correct - it is just for attention.
If any other groups are allowed to have 'after school clubs', then this group should as well as long as they meet the general guidelines.
As a side note - this recently happened in a mid-sized midwestern town over a decade ago. So the "club" started - had 2-3 "meetings with extremely low attendance (6 students, 3 students, 3rd mtg - none) and it folded

We need an article v instituted by the people for the people in each state until we hit the 2/3 majority and get these damn term limits in place. Amen to that! What used to define the normalcy of a life has certainly changed. Then again it is within our capability to rely on what “we define as normal” and the hell with the rest of them! Also something that seems to be the default thought process anymore.
