Today it is clear that the Republican party, the Tea Party and the Koch Brothers have sunk the country. One can confirm this on any number of threads on this and other sites. Republican's have clearly corrupted the system over the past 50 to 60 years if one accepts the evidence provided by Democrats ad nauseam. The Democrats didn't stand a chance, is the claim, in the face of such viciousness. Just nothing they could do to stop it.

So I am in the hope that maybe some of the Democrats or progressives or wh**ever here can help me figure this very odd and on its face incongruous circumstance out;

The period January 1931 to January 2015 is (or will have been) 84 years.

In that period the congressional record is or will have been thus regarding p**********l and congressional makeup:

Presidency
Democrat 48 years (57%)
Republican 36 years (42%)

Senate majority
Democrat 64 years (76%)
Republican 20 years (23%)

House majority
Democrat 62 years (74%)
Republican 22 years (26%)

Consecutive House and Senate Majority
Democrat 56 years (67%)
Republican 14 years (17%)

Consecutive Presidency, House and Sensate Majority
Democrat 24 years (29%)
Republican 12 years (14%)

From this historic record Democrats have enjoyed a control advantage for the better part of 85 years. So, either the Democrats just woke up in the past couple of years as to how things work or... we are living the Democrat Dream.

Which is it?

Well, in my opinion, they're both right. Having democrats and/or republicans constantly vying for power, has definitely run this country into the ground. Any way you slice it, both sides have sold their souls and our republic to the highest bidder. There is really no way to rationalize this behavior, although both parties are giving it the good old college try. They always sound like 5 year olds, squabbling over the same toy.

The Progressive Democrats have held this country hostage big-time since Woodrow Wilson's takeover of the banking system and FDR's four term stint stacking the Supreme Court and mangling the Constitution.

Since Wilson's creation of the Council on Foreign Relations, [CFR] which is to this day, a very wealthy liberal elite of robber-barons financing the Bolshevik Revolution, the rise of Stalin, Mussolini and Hitler, to granting the PRC First National Trade Status, America has slowly been degraded spiritually and financially. Socialists h**e the common man.

For example, there are only four major conglomerates that own all the TV stations, radio stations, newspapers and major publishing houses. and NONE of them are conservative.

Most likely, this One Political Plaza originated out of White House paranoia and DHS tracking "radicals."

Regardless, only recently with access to the Internet, the public has regained access to a free press and become educated regarding the principles this country was founded upon.

Hmm. We have 92 million people unemployed or under-employed due to five years of Obamacare destroying millions of small businesses and millions more jobs. These 92 million people are VICTIMS of the Liberal Left.

If you think the poor are going to v**e for more of the same old Liberal hypocrisy, you are going to have a rude awakening in the next two weeks.

The tax BASE is greatly shrinking while the Democrats continue to spend and create 159 new bureaucracies to enforce compliance with Obamacare. Yes, it costs $3 trillion dollars to regulate compliance with the Patients Protection & Affordable Care Act. This is ABSURD, especially when all we need to do is open up Interstate Commerce to shop 1700 available health insurance companies ! ! !

And then there is the Federal Reserve Board flooding the market with more worthless paper fiat to pay for this "Democrat Dream" while the value of the dollar is being reduced to that of a dime. This is nothing to be proud of.

JUst take a look at this advertisement above "What is Hillary Clinton's worst scandal?" V**E.

Of course, One Political Plaza must be her advocates creation. Really, since after one reads the lists of "scandals" one realizes the worst of the worst are not even on the list.

Senator Rand Paul, a mixture of Republican Conservatism and Libertarian views is funding his p**********l campaign through grass root donations over the Internet. He is an honest man.

There is hardly any difference between RINOs and Democrats. The current Republicans are i***ts v**ed in by a nation of i***ts.

Since WW II, there has never been more than a dozen or so progressives in Congress. Give Senator Warren a chance to lead this nation in a different direction.

You are expanding on the concept that the Democrat Dream has been a long time in the planning. In the course of digging out the (simple) data for this thread (from the Library of Congress) I came across a number of very telling legislative actions that obviously contribute to how we got here.

For example there is legislation all through the period that modifies, amends or totally rewrites banking, savings & loan and mortgage regulations, all instigated by Democrats in the House and/or Senate. The vast majority of the most critically damaging of such legislation has been signed into law by Democrat presidents. They, in all cases could have vetoed...but they didn't. Why?

Back to your point; it took time and effort to start turning this ship into the iceberg. It's reasonable to think that the guys who had the wheel for the majority of the time contributed to the collision, eh?

Your comment makes no sense. The Democrat party has been in majority power for the better part of 70% of the past 84 years. That's from the congressional record.

What the F do RINO's have to do with anything?

I would only root for Elizabeth Warren if she were to attempt the swim to Cuba through 'shark ally' with a big pot roast tied to her c*******t ass...That would probably be her greatest contribution to the country since she darkened the doors of the chambers...

There is no question he is an honest man. That will be a problem for him...and us.

He's addressing the issue of corporate and union money buying our government. This should extend beyond president to the entire government body. There is no level playing field when the government is for sale to the highest bidder. If this is not changed, and quickly, we are dead.

I personally have always been an advocate of public (tax money) financing of our political process. It is to our advantage to do so and would reduce the rhetoric and bring focus to the underlying issues.

Here is a link to an organization that appears to be heading the right direction. This is what it will take; we the people screaming our heads off...

You don't have the brains to see the difference between a progressive and a Blue Dog.

The fact that we don't have single-payer is proof that the progressives had no power.

I suppose you think that being called a progressive is a good thing. The progressives were c*******ts and that characterization was not favorable so they changed their name to progressives and have worked their way into the Democratic party and now have control of it. All progressives want a socialistic type of government. We were told in the 50s that we would be conquered from the inside and that is happening now with this administration in power. Warren is just another c*******t in disguise and like all the others she needs to spread lies to make her seem more electable.
