American Thinker is incorrect as they sometimes are.
****Putin's plan A and seemingly only plan was to invade Ukraine in two to three days, k**l Zelensky and replace him with a Russian puppet, and expect the Ukrainians to welcome his tanks and poorly trained troops with open arms. Well, plan A failed, and now, after 51 days of tactical blunders in Ukraine, he has been almost totally humiliated.*****
From day one it was obvious that was NOT the main objective. Putin could have tumbled the gov and Zelensky without having to actually take the entire city. Fact is, had he k**led Zelensky, which I thought he might actually do, would have turned Zelensky into a martyr. Militarily, the probe into Kiev was a diversion to draw Ukraine forces away form the main objective, the donbas and the coast.
I don't think Putin anticipated so much outside help to Ukraine in terms of armaments and that has been a significant deterrent to the Russian forces and a dangerous gambit on the part of NATO and the US. Let us hope it does not achieve what Zelensky ultimately wants; the US and NATO fully at war with Russia. Zelensky, obviously, does not have any qualms about starting a nuclear war or d**gging the US and NATO into one. Take away nuclear options and yes, we fully engage and defeat Putin once and for all, most likely. Problem is, there ARE nuclear options which too many seem blind to.
As for Putin being humiliated? The west and their refusal to listen to Putin all these years has already accomplished that. Th result is an angry man with a nuclear trigger. Is the west happy about that achievement?????????????

Betty is slowly improving.-- I'm doing quite well with the housework--keeping up on everything.-- So far my cooking has been passable. I made an easter dinner everybody enjoyed. I am considering going back to the salt mines next week. I'll still be doing the harder household tasks but our dining experience should be markedly improved. lol
