Most political, economic, etc., issues have at least two sides to examine, and a person wishing to take an intelligent position will first examine all of them. That's what I thought I would be doing when I joined OPP a few months ago. We all know how naive I was.

But I'm an optimist too, so let me make a few suggestions that might make it harder for you to respond but will make your eventual response more meaningful.

1. Don't defend Trump by telling us how bad Biden is, and don't defend Biden by telling us how bad Trump was. Even if one were the devil incarnate that doesn't make the other an angel.

2. Remember that two wrongs don't make a right. And don't argue that they do. Hillary's emails don't equate to the 7 plus hours of missing white house phone records. One of these may be wrong and the other even worse.

3. Don't penalize the children for the sins of their parents (example: the attempts to justify the invasion of the Ukraine because there were N**is there during WW II).

4. Don't call names. Aside from such conduct being juvenile, it is strong evidence that the name caller is simply frustrated by not having an intelligent rebuttal.

5. Call out posts that are r****t, sexist, antisemitic or otherwise bigoted. African Americans range politically between AL Sharpton and Clarence Thomas, so you wouldn't say they are all Democrats; why then would you say that they were all some other (usually negative) thing or condition? Bigotry is simply illogical and should be discouraged from attempts at rational discussion.

Is anyone listening?

People tend to respond to the tune of the original poster... Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house...

Quote:
1. Don't defend Trump by telling us how bad Biden is, and don't defend Biden by telling us how bad Trump was. Even if one were the devil incarnate that doesn't make the other an angel.

Don't compare one presidency to another??? That's an odd request...

So overlook one but condemn the other???
Or condemn them both???
Or use them to demonstrate how all administrations do shady things...

3. Don't penalize the children for the sins of their parents (example: the attempts to justify the invasion of the Ukraine because there were N**is there during WW II).

That's a terrible example...It's like you're completely unaware of what is happening in the Ukraine... Perhaps you should educate yourself before you condescend to others?🤔

There are numerous posters who are familiar with each other... mat times ad hominem is a means of communication...

I listened and you make some good points. A lot of it it frustration due to some posters that consistently post and over post outrageous unt***hs and crap all day, every day. And we know who they are.

1. I try not to defend Trump the man and have disliked him since way into last century. Although there are proven instances of him being one hell of a guy at times. I liked the fact that he wasn't beholden to the politicians who for the most part are destroying this country. In my opinion most democrats and some Republicans. Term Limits. On the other hand, I personally think that biden is and always was a fool who has no real interests in making America great, but with wh**ever brains he has left and with his handlers, is destroying America with virtually every thing he does.

2. You are right. But each wrong has its own intensity. Hilliary was deliberately doing wrong with her emails and knew she was destroying evidence, Evidence that was legitimately sought. I believe what is being done by Trump is the direct efforts of trying to stop a run away witch hunt by people who h**e him and will do anything to destroy him.

3. I don't believe anyone is really blaming Ukrainians for the N**i activities of their ancestors in WWII. But there are active N**i individuals in great numbers in bedded within the independent m*****as that Ukraine is using against the Eastern provinces in Ukraine, in their dirty war against those that that legitimately want freedom from the corruption of Kiev, and the new leadership the result of an illegal c**p sponsored by biden and obama.

4.Calling names. Now that is hard when dealing with the little orange s**tgibbon. I often try to throw their crap right back at them and try to make fun of them. You can't reasonably communicate with the dregs of the extremeleft. But some on the left can be brought into discussion if we could get past some of your issues. And that would be good.

5. Bigotry is usually wrong. But it isn't all blatant bigotry if focused on points and particulars. People object to the term ni66er. I don't like to use it myself, but will when i feel it is representative of the situation or personality. You mention al sharpton. I look at him as one. Why/ His blatant r****m and blatant accusations against w****s. I also refer to gang bangers that way. But the majority of darker individuals of African descent are good people. Many are just where they are at because of economics and culture. And that is at the heart of blind hatred. It is right to call out these people for all of the crime. They commit it. But again, poor and culture. They need to erase both. And they need to do that themselves. All of these liberal programs are mostly failures.

Again, some good ideas though. Thanks for posting that stuff.

I agree with that. It’s comparing apples and not oranges, but stones.
Totally different intensities of wrong.
Trump was a little lippy but Hillary was evil incarnate. B******i! Whitewater! Foster! Monica!
