This comment is ignorant, meaning unaware of facts (and not as a pejorative). After a tie v**e in a committee an issue goes to the full senate for a v**e. That's what will happen on this issue too.

The best that can be said about the situation is that the SCOTUS is being turned into a political institution. It neither surprises nor bothers me that the party of Trump thinks it might be a win for them. Heck, they think T***p w*n in 2020 and that's all one needs to know how they score wins and losses.
