The rate of murders in the US has gone up at an alarming rate. But, despite a media narrative to the contrary, this is a problem that afflicts Republican-run cities and states as much or more than the Democratic bastions.
In 2020, per capita murder rates were 40% higher in states won by Donald Trump than those won by Joe Biden.
8 of the 10 states with the highest murder rates in 2020 v**ed for the Republican p**********l nominee in every e******n this century.

Well Grasshopper: Again you failed to apply critical thinking to your inane little rants.

Check out the crime rates in cities and see who manages those (clue - democrats).

Then that number becomes part of the overall state totals....thus a misleading "fact" about the states rate.

New York, Chicago, Baltimore, St Louis, Los Angeles. Hmmmm. As far as I know, murder is against the law in those cities.

Felonies and their prosecution is dealt within the state court system not locally in most instances. Here is a link to the original article. See if you can find a grownup who will read it to you slowly enough that you understand.

FYI: The year is 2022. 2020 is ancient history.

The following lists of cities with highest crime rates in 2022 varies slightly, however the party that runs them is D.

CNN: Major crimes in New York City spiked nearly 60% in February compared to the same month in 2021 -- a large majority occurring in a small swath of the metropolis -- as Mayor Eric Adams rolled out his plan to combat gun violence and crime in the city.

The New York Police Department tracked increases across every major crime category. The city recorded a 41% increase in overall major crime through the first months of 2022 compared to the same period last year, including a nearly 54% increase in robberies, a 56% increase in grand larceny incidents and a 22% increase in rape reports.

Try approaching it from another angle. Places where a Republican is elected mayor may have a completely different demographics.
