Who will pay for the fight against ISIS?

Are the American taxpayers expected to pay the bill to protect Iraqis?

I have friends who have been searching for jobs for more than a year, unemployment ran out, congress won't bring a bill to a v**e, and now, these same people, have appropriated money to pay for the ISIS offensive? This is egregious and totally unacceptable!

I do not want to assume that I know everything, so I will only say that I have heard the figure one billion-a-day. Outrageous, wen they would not appropriate three billion, one time, to bring people who are looking for jobs that most should never have lost, just once!

Shame on you: congress!

The congress should make Iraq pay for all operational costs associated with this action, as it pertains to the US increasing its role in their cause.
I know, there are many who feel that the US is to blame for the Iraq war in the first place; this is a regionally perpetuating situation, which is older than most of what we call the "civilized" world. Older even, than the scriptures in the bible.

Americans have enough to pay for: congressional junkets for pleasure, slush funds, "entertainment" during foreign "fact-finding" trips. You know the deal..."necessary expenditures".

Agreed. Its stupid to spend so much on the middle east when there truly is NO solution. But heck, we can just put it on one of the cards.

At the risk of sounding liberal, the same money could be used to pay off the student loan debts, freeing up our most valuable resource, to spend more and boost the economy. They did it for the banks et al, why not for students?

According to "W," the cost for the Iraq War was to be paid for by Iraqi oil sales. I guess the same would hold true for the war on ISIS; right? BTW, when should we expect the money to arrive? What kind of payment plan did Dubya work out with the Iraqis? Was the "Bank of Halliburton" to be the receiver of the money?
