Barack Obama: My ‘Larger Role’ Is ‘My Obligation to Make Sure Africans Are Safe’

If there wasn't a more "in your face" rejection of what the office of the President of the United States is supposed to be, this past week Barack Obama spoke out on the Ebola v***s in the US. While he claimed that it was his job to make sure Americans were taken care of, he said he had a larger role. What's that role you ask? What could be larger than doing his job to secure the borders and obey his oath of office? According to Obama, it's making sure that Africans, particularly children and their families, are safe.

Apparently Obama decided to be briefed by his "entire team" on Ebola (no word yet on whether he's attended a national security briefing lately). He specifically called the v***s the "Ebola epidemic" and said that the briefing was to understand how each agency would be involved and what they were doing, which he never told anyone about. He merely said he wanted to stop it at the source, which is in West Africa.

The problem is that the v***s is no longer just in West Africa. It's in Europe and the United States, with the US suffering its first fatality this week due in large measure to Obama not banning flights originating from Ebola-ridden countries in Africa. This is truly laughable that he claims to be "doing everything we can do to prevent an outbreak here in the United States."

To make matters worse, CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden actually had the audacity to tell the American people that banning such flights would cause more Americans to get Ebola! Yet, Americans are petitioning the White House to ban such flights because they know better than this administration how to take care of themselves.

He then told the press, "The good news is it's not an airborne disease." Oh, really Mr. Liar-in-chief? That's not what a recent, sneaky update on t***smission of Ebola on the CDC's website says. Then why is the US Army saying that winter weather provides the ideal conditions for Ebola to go airborne? Why has an associate professor of biological sciences at Purdue University, who participated in the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Biological Weapons Proliferation Prevention Program said that Ebola being airborne is not farfetched? How do you explain the Ebola Hot Zone in Virginia in 1989 where Ebola was passed from monkeys to pigs that had not physical contact? The Obama administration isn't erring on the side of caution, they are just plain erring; and word is that their error is being conducted on purpose and that it violates the very protocols Obama told the press they were following.

"But let's keep in mind that as we speak, there are children on the streets dying of this disease, thousands of them. And so obviously my first job is to make sure that we're taking care of the American people, but we have a larger role than that. We also have an obligation to make sure that those (African) children and their families are safe as well; because ultimately the best thing we can do for our public health is also to extend the kind of empathy, compassion and effort so that folks in those countries as well can be rid of this disease."

While I get the idea for sympathy for those facing the disease in other countries, I do wonder where that is in his job description, especially in light of the fact that he is not doing any of the things he told the press. He certainly is not doing everything he can to make sure Ebola doesn't enter the US (banning flights, sealing the border, etc.)

The claim that his larger role and obligation is to the people of Africa is way down the line from doing what he should be doing, but isn't. Any role he thinks he has in Africa is dwarfed, not enlarged, by his role to fulfill his duty here in the US. However, this is just more lies from this administration, for which I call upon Congress to begin to issue articles of impeachment to deal with him as our Constitution calls for.

The American people would be wise to prepare to take care of themselves in light of the dereliction of duty that has been demonstrated by this administration. You can find tips for doing that here.

It's a case of "damned if you do and damned if you don't". The republican minority criticize the President for " not doing enough" in Africa and " not doing it quickly enough ", then when he does, they criticize him for that too.

The President finally came to the conclusion that his detractors were not going to back off no matter what he did, so, he decided to forget about them and just do what he thinks is right. He made this public when he was interviewed by George Stephanopulas from ABC some months ago. When you KNOW that certain bitter enemies are going to attack everything you do, you stop worrying about what they think and thus, make them - irrelevant.

Becoming irrelevant certainly increases the bitterness and as a result, the vitriol increases as well. The President needn't worry about re-e******n, so he has the opportunity to stop playing politics and just work. Whether the Congress will follow suit remains to be seen, incidentally, the congress has yet to be seen at all.

I see where Highway 385 north, & Highway 244, are shut down as construction crews are moving a 500 ton block of coal into place at Mt. Rushmore. I know that Obama is against the coal industry, but it is a lot cheeper than granite. I am betting that undocumented laborers will be doing the sculptor. Well their goes the neighborhood.

Your backwards......the Criticism is not Obama sending troops to Africa. It is that Obama dams the USA , should have sent troops to the borders, and blocked flights from infected countries, like Europe and other countries leaders are doing. Come on, are you so thick as not to see, first protect America, then support Africa.

Looking back at Barack Obama's Campaign platform in 2008, He was President of Harvard Law Review, a Civil Rights Lawyer, a U.S. Representative. He went to Harvard Law School, Occidental College, Columbia University, and Punahou Academy. In his book, The Bluprint For Change, Barack Obama's Plan For America, this man was going to be the most Honest And T***sparent President the world has ever seen! B****s and w****s,(all races and ethnicities) would see unbelievable changes in their lives! And he had the means to back up his promises! White people loved him, Black people adored him, So much so that we gave him 2 terms!
Finally white people proved they had enough, and wrere ready to put R****M to bed Once and For ALL! the Land Of Milk and Honey was at our door step. SO What The Hell Happened?
How could a man who held the key to our minds & hearts possibly go BAD in such a short time? It was not Congress, It deffinately was not the media! This man now sits in a pool of shame so deep, He is laughed at by every person on the Planet! Every Ruler in every Country Looks at America with disgust and H**e. Every Corperation Has become experts at ripping off American Citicisens! And our future and hopes of retiring with dignity is destroyed, with no hope left for our children.
Anyone else who would do the things he has done would be assassinated, and left to rot. ( I truly cannot understand how this happened, or how we will climb out of this Total Distruction and Despear.)
Is there a Logical and effective answer to what we have become at the hands of this man? No name calling or factless information please!
We are coming up on the 2016 e******n very quick, and we will not survive with another President that h**es America the way Obama does. There must be an answer quickly! I don't think it is another Bush in the White House, and I don't think the answer is in the Middle East. We are playing Russian Roulette with EPA, Energy and Natural Resorses, and Current Political Talking points.
