Opec sets the prices and controls the supply and the president has nothing to do with fuel prices . This was hammered home by Republicans during the trump administration .

As I recall, everyone liked the sub-two dollar gas prices during Trump, but I don't remember a lot of bragging from the right about it. Don't kid yourself, the current policies, initiated by Biden on Jan 21, 2021, have had much to do with our 4 dollar plus and approaching 5 dollar prices. It was expected that the left would place the blame elsewhere as is their practice. I don't remember the Dems ever taking the blame for anything, only trying to take credit.
