We heard the clear voice for the Republican legislature of PA in 2012 that their newly created v**er restrictions would help Romney win the p**********l e******n: is there any doubt of intent for all these republican backed v**er restrictions? Look at what happened in Texas and Wisconsin. As Americans, as patriots, we should be opening doors to the v**e, not looking for any way to shut them. Seriously. Think about it. Limiting the days and hours of early v****g. Ending same day registration. Curtailing v****g places and hours on the day of e******n. Demanding specific types of ID to v**e. Making it law but hardly making an effort to inform the public that a copy of ID must accompany an absentee b****t. Ending Sunday v****g. The demographics of these very precise limitations all target those who fit Democratic v**er patterns. Coincidence, I am sure. But let's get freakin' honest. Call yourselves patriots and look to limit the opportunity to v**e? You "patriots" should be demanding greater access and openness in this basic to democracy practice.

Sorry, but it does seem that way. The very essence of our republic is tied to a democratic v**e and the "patriots" and "constitutionalists" of the Right are doing nearly everything in their power to restrict and limit v****g. Do they say to themselves, "This is just a temporary imposition until we win back the Senate, then as a majority freedom will return to v****g."

If someone is too stupid or lazy to get an ID they should not v**e anyway.

Hours of operation apply to all businesses and most public buildings. I don't really see it as closing the doors at all or limiting the v**er access. With exact times, dates, and locations including prerequisites such as ID required makes complete sense. This sort of thinking would help our tax system as well. Why not standardize?

Do you have any self-reflective power at all? If v****g is essential to maintaining our republic and freedom, why seek every avenue to limit it? Is that "patriotic"?

You don't see me attached to any proposal or bill regarding making any hours being restricted....however as to the nature of a v**er ID now that is something I would totally support.

As to Retired....100% straight t*****r.

I, too, see no problem with providing an ID, as long as states take steps not to make it a form of poll tax: meaning that to procure a birth certificate, go to an ID agency and pay their fee, or have a records search to obtain the necessary ID is paid by the state. If not, it is against the law, being a poll tax.

Personally, as much bulls**t as the Democratic Party has caused the USA, I think it should be fair that the v****g booths have a means to identify anyone about to enter the v****g booth as being a Democrat, and that the law should fully support that any NON Democrat may do anything they wish to the Democrat.. ANYTHING...and that such items for use, such as a ball peen hammer, shot gun. hand gun, ball bat, or any other "tool" to be used should be provided for, as PAY BACK for the monsterous crimes against all humanity they have inflected upon all people on the face of this Earth. Democrat goes to v**e...and...it is "Batter's Up" time!

Trieing to stack the deck to win is a dirty political trick. when campainig is not enough pass a law that stops students the poor and minoritys in their tracks. People who almost always v**ed Democrat can be greatly reduced in numbers. Your drivers lisence with a photo don't get it no more your student I D with photo dosn't work either. only a state issued v**er ID card gets it but you have to show the right ID or you won't get it. Stop the V**e !!

Those evil no good republicans. What are they thinking? To want to ensure v****g is fair, to ensure that only US citizens are afforded this unique privilege and opportunity. Man, they are evil. They even want to have hours set aside for v****g, we all know that v****g should be made available 24/7 so those returning from the local bar can perform their civic duty after some meaningful political discussions over a couple dozen beers! How dare they want to exclude i******s from casting v**es, everyone knows that they do not have loyalty or allegiance to any other country. And v***r r**********n, who needs that. Everyone should be able to just walk in and cast as many v**es as they want. No restrictions! And damn those who call themselves patriotic, they should all be jailed for their willingness to serve in the military, to stand up for the citizens of the USA....why not just skip the jail and shot them. They always mess up everything. D********g people that think that we have something special in the USA, worthy of preserving.

Yes, they should be damned for wanting Romney to have a fair chance of winning the e******n. Everyone knows that the right to go door to door and bus in v**ers, have the New Black Panthers stationed outside of v****g sites.... these actions make for a fair v**e. Damn, let us just remove the Republican.....or any other politician that is not Liberal from b****ts. That would better ensure representation for the New World Order. Better still, let us just cut to the chase and go totally from democracy to dictatorship. We almost have that now.... do away with v****g all together.

Supressing v**er turnout by any means has always benifited conservitives. From poll taxes to v**er ID to underfunding polling places in poor neighborhoods making it difficult or impossible to v**e has been a tool of conservitives for years. If all eligible v**ers turned out in every e******n the republicans would loose the vast majority of their power. As the number of conservitives continue to decline and die off v**er suppression is a necessary strategy to maintain power.

Nice rant but do you think those cons in your party gave a s**t about v**er ID after bus**t4brains was installed? It only became a issue after the black man kicked their asses not once but twice.

In a free democracy you should do what ever it takes to get everyone to v**e NOT do everything you can to keep people from v****g especially those you know will not v**e for you.

That is your common sense 101 lesson for today!

It is not unreasonable to expect all v**ers to prove they are U.S. citizens that are entitled to v**e. A picture I.D. or some other reasonable means is the least our state governments can do to insure honest representation. We have to present identification for almost every mundane activity throughout our daily activity. why not for one of the most important and cherished rights we have as an American citizen? Huck
