Unfortunately, gas prices are tied to the international oil and gas trades. Right now due to the was in the Ukraine, many countries are unwilling to buy oil from Russia, which is the second largest producer of crude. So international prices have gone sky high. Oil companies peg their prices to the daily numbers, even though your gas may have been bought weeks or days ago. So we are being gouged by the oil companies. Also OPEC could pump morr, but they are refusing to do so.

Lame excuse, but par for the course. There is one simple reason why we are in this fix, and that's because Biden refuses to become energy independent....no other excuse is NEEDED.

Biden buying oil from Russia is funding Putin's war . And Biden has picked Putin to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran for America. Who is colluding with Russia now? FJB. FJB FJB

You seem to have all the answers. Why is the U.S. planning to buy oil from three hostile nations (Russia, Iran, Venezuela) rather than increase production from our own resources?

For Russia, oil is their biggest asset. Anyone who is buying oil from Russia is just providing assets to continue the war. Shame on anybody who does such a foolish thing. Does Biden need a "Bill" from Congress demanding a ban on buying oil from Russia? Is Biden really that stupid????? Biden stealing that e******n....worst thing that has happeed to this country in a long time!!!!!! there are not enough "stupid" people to allow such a thing to happen without a massive amount of fraud. I love the i***ts on OPP who say it could NEVER happen.

Most of the time, they don't have a rebuttal or solution, so they remain "vague"....also somewhat "safe". If you don't have a solution. you can't look like a total i***t.

I challenge people and give them an opportunity to support their opinion and statements rather than lump them into a particular category or assume what their response might be; even when their past explanations may have been weak. Everyone should have the opportunity to explain themselves. If they’re unable to do so or are less than convincing, their position or stance on any subject is automatically disproven and can be dismissed. We all have our approach to reaching an understanding of our differing opinions. It helps to know the other persons basis for their opinion.

I agree wholeheartedly. At least we give them the chance to express their opinion, which is more than the Dems give us. You are aware of the left's push to stifle free speech at every turn...just the opposite of what you just described. I wonder what peg has to say about that?

Hmmmmm. What if civilians grew a big pair and copied what the police did years back - they got “The Blue Flu.”

Say 50 million of our supposed 110 million workforce STAYED HOME ?!?!
Of course, stick up on necessities, pay bills in advance…..
The oil elite would go berserk. Outside of Revolution the ONLY way to truly hurt scum of the earth is DONT BUY WHAT THEY SELL.
We hit them in the pocketbook !!!!
