How long has the flu been around? How about strep?

All of a sudden, we have these home test kits for C***D. Yet, we have to go pay a doctor to test us for flu, or strep. Why?
On top of that, these home tests will not be accepted by many employers for sick employees. They need a test from a doctor, which may, or may not be accurate.

What's the point? It's stupid, and they're made in China.

We have the test kits at home. Doubt we will use them. What I know about testing is--the quick home test can read a false negative but never a false positive. I can see why employers won't accept the home test and want the doctors test.

Why don't we have home tests for flu, and strep?

Good question guess these diseases are not being hyped up. I have had strep throat and was mighty sick until I got a shot of penicillin in each butt cheek. I had the Russian flu back in my 30s that put me down and in bed for a month. I got over that one by will power

Ok. So, here's my theory. If you have a bad sore throat, you can test yourself for strep. If positive, sanitize your home, and isolate while taking therapeutics. Stoping the spread.
Same with flu. Right?

It should work. My Grandson just got over c***d. I built him a room off the house with its own entrance a year ago. He isolated in there and my wife took him food. He wore a mask when he did come into the main part of the house. None of the rest of us got sick.

Well, ok. But WHY aren't there home tests for these other things?

You can get a syphilis test for free and it rots the brains of many Texans. In retrospect this explains a great deal.

Archie is my friend. We are opposites in many ways but he is not a syphletic. He has stuck up for me many times when the rightys were ganging up on me. He is a good family man and his neighbors appreciate him. That much I can say with no reservations.

And in China the home tests aren't accepted...Only hospital tests...

Just got tested again yesterday, for the new semester... We used the gymnasium and had a dozen staff from the hospital come to us...

Anyways, cheers Arch...Jopen you're having a good Saturday night... I just cracked one of your favorites...It was on sale today so I grabbed a case
