I am not sure how many of you are aware that Peter's health has had a sudden change. He is very ill and is unable to post to you directly, and asked that I relay a message from him. He wanted to thank everyone who he has been contact with, but will not, in the short-term, be posting.

He refers to me as DW (Dear Wife), but my name is Doreen. I have just one request, if you are a h**er, please do not respond to this posting. Go in peace, but just go.

He lost his wife a few days ago. After around 70 years of marriage , it is quite understandably
taking a heavy toll on him. I only wish I was near enough to give him a helping hand.

Clarification: I was referring to "manning" in that reply, as I mistakenly thought her post had referred

Your thoughts are appreciated very much, sky! To lose my partner of 65 years on Sunday and also my daughter a few months ago, is getting me down. The close family is cut in half. It seems that posting can be a way to stay busy, so I am giving it a try, just not anything really important! I will probably make some bloopers!

You are very highly regarded by all here, and everywhere I'm sure. I am glad that you are posting, because especially now, it is
one of the most important things that you can do for yourself. I'm sure I can speak for everyone here when I say that we are all with you.
You help a lot of folks with the wisdom of your posts and it is important that you keep that wisdom flowing outward.
The best way for anyone to keep a gift such as that, which you have, is to give it away.

Today, I am on my feet, and more fully realizing that "it is what it is". The wishes all of you have given me are holding me up and gladdening my heart.

I am concerned by the latest about JW, Can anyone tell me how he is now? He was in great jeopardy, that I know, because I had pneumonia last year, and have been still recovering from it.
